β οΈ Important Safety Notes
- Avoid direct sunlight: Can damage the e-ink screen and melt the plastic housing
- Use proper power: Only 5V/2A USB chargers (iPhone/Android chargers are perfect). Avoid USB PD (Power Delivery) chargers
- Indoor use only: Not designed for extended outdoor exposure
1 First Time Setup

Power up your device
Plug Bus Aunty into a USB-C power adapter. The screen will flash (black to white) and show the WiFi setup screen.π‘ Pro Tip
Make sure the USB-C cable is securely connected. The screen flash indicates the device is starting up properly.

Connect to Bus Aunty WiFi
On your phone or computer, go to WiFi settings and connect to the network called "Bus Aunty" -

Open the configuration page
In your browser, navigate to: 1.2.3.4
You should see the Bus Aunty configuration page load. -

Configure WiFi & Bus Stops
Click "Configure WIFI" and enter:-

Your home WiFi network name and password

Up to 4 bus stops (4-5 digit codes like 4121 or 04121)

Optional nicknames for each stop (e.g., "Home", "Office", "School")
π‘ Finding Bus Stop Codes
Bus stop codes are displayed on the physical bus stop signs, or you can find them in the MyTransport.sg app.

Submit & Enjoy!
Click "Submit" and wait for the device to refresh. It will now show live bus arrival times from your configured stops.
2 Changing Bus Stops
Need to update your bus stops or add new ones? Here are two easy methods:
Method 1: Using the Web Config Page(Recommended)

Turn the device off and on again (Power Cycle)
Make sure your phone/computer is connected to the same WiFi network as Bus Aunty. -

Open configuration page
In your browser, go to: bus-aunty.local -

Update settings
Change bus stops, add/remove stops, or filter specific bus services.ποΈ Bus Service Filtering
To show only specific buses, enter bus numbers separated by commas:
73,55,269A,410W
Method 2: Hard Reset

To access the reset button
Remove the rear cover, do it slowly to not damage the electronics inside. -

While the device is plugged in. Double press the Boot Button
You should see the Bus Aunty screen flash to the main setup page. If the screen does not flash, try again. Remember it can only reset WHILE the device is plugged in and has power.Β

Reconfigure
Follow the first-time setup process again to reconfigure all settings.
3 Understanding Your Display

Display Layout
Bus Aunty shows 2 bus stops at a time, cycling through all configured stops. -

Refresh Rate
Bus information updates every 30 seconds with real-time data from LTA. -

Bus Services
All bus services for each stop are displayed, unless you've set up filtering.
4 Troubleshooting

Device showing weird numbers?
This happens when the device can't reach the time server. Simply unplug and plug back in. -

No bus data showing?
Check your WiFi connection and ensure bus stop codes are correct (4-5 digits). -

Need to factory reset?
Remove the back cover with a flat screwdriver and press the "BOOT" button twice.
