🎯 How accurate are the bus times?
Bus Aunty syncs directly with Singapore's LTA DataMall for real-time accuracy - the same official data used by transit apps. Times are updated every 30 seconds.
📱 Do I need to keep checking my phone?
Nope! That's the whole point. Bus Aunty shows live bus arrivals on your wall so you can see timing while getting ready, eating breakfast, or helping kids prepare for school.
🔧 How long does setup take?
About 5 minutes! Plug in the device, connect to 'Bus Aunty' WiFi, select your bus stops, add your own home WiFi Credentials and you're done. We provide step-by-step video guidance.
🚌 Can I change bus stops later?
Yes! You can configure up to 4 different bus stops and change them anytime. Just go to bus-aunty.local in your browser while connected to the same WiFi network, or restart the device to reconfigure.
📡 What happens if my WiFi goes down?
Bus Aunty will show the last known schedule with a power cycle it will try and reconnect to the saved WiFi network.
🔌 What power adapter do I need?
Any standard 5V 1A USB-C phone charger will work perfectly. Avoid: USB PD (Power Delivery) chargers as they might damage the device.
🌞 Can I put it by a window?
Avoid direct sunlight! It can damage the e-ink screen and melt the plastic. Place it in a spot with ambient light for best readability.
🔄 How do I reset the device?
Soft reset: Power cycle the device (unplug and plug back in).
Hard reset: Remove the back cover with a flat screwdriver, then press the "BOOT" button twice to erase all settings.
🕐 Why is my device showing weird numbers?
This happens when the device can't reach the time server. Simply power cycle the device (unplug and plug back in) to fix this.
🎛️ Can I filter which buses to show?
Yes! You can choose to display only specific bus services. Enter bus numbers separated by commas (e.g., 73,55,269A,410W) in the configuration page. You can reach the configuration page by going to bus-aunty.local in your browser while connected to the same WiFi network.
📺 How many bus stops can I see at once?
The device shows 2 bus stops at a time. If you've configured more than 2 stops, it will cycle through them automatically, showing all services for each pair before moving to the next.
