Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Bus Aunty, operated by CALM Technologies Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore.

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before purchasing from our store. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Pre-Order Policy

This store is currently operating on a pre-order basis. By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • Items will only ship once stock arrives and is assembled in Singapore

  • While we aim to fulfill orders within 2 weeks to 1 month upon receiving the order, there is no guarantee of delivery within this timeframe.

  • If shipment is delayed beyond the fulfilment timeframe above, you have the option to cancel your order and receive a full refund.

2. Cancellations and Change-of-Mind Returns

This section covers returns where there is nothing wrong with the product. If your unit is faulty, see Section 4 instead, which is more generous and costs you nothing.

  • Cancellations are allowed before your order ships.

  • Once your item has shipped, cancellations are no longer permitted, but you may return it under the policy below.

  • We offer a 30-day no-questions-asked refund from the date you receive your product. We give you this voluntarily as a goodwill policy. It goes beyond what Singapore law requires of us, and it does not replace or limit your legal rights (see Section 5).

  • Products must be returned in good condition to qualify for a change-of-mind refund. You bear the return shipping cost.

3. Shipping

We currently only ship within Singapore.

  • There are no import duties or additional taxes required from customers.

  • You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. Failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses may incur re-delivery fees.

4. Technical Support and Warranty

We provide technical support for all Bus Aunty units. Write to us at me@linotan.com and we will help you troubleshoot.

Limited warranty. We warrant every Bus Aunty unit against defects in materials and workmanship for 6 months from the date you receive it. If your unit is defective within that period, we will repair or replace it at our cost. Where we cannot repair or replace it within a reasonable time, we will refund you.

We pay for defect returns. If your unit is faulty, we cover return shipping and any repair or replacement cost. You will never pay to send back a defective unit.

What this warranty does not cover. We are not responsible for faults that arise from causes outside the device itself, including:

  • Your home Wi-Fi setup or connection issues

  • Electrical supply inconsistencies

  • Misconfiguration of external hardware or systems

  • Accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised repair or modification

  • Interruptions or inaccuracies in the bus arrival data we receive from third-party sources


5. Your Rights Under Singapore Law

Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes, or modifies any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003, the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, or any other Singapore law that cannot be contracted out of.

In particular, if a Bus Aunty unit does not conform to our agreement at the time we deliver it, you may ask us to repair or replace it. If we cannot do so within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to you, you may ask for a price reduction or a refund. Where a defect appears within six months of delivery, the law presumes it was present at delivery unless we show otherwise.

If any part of these Terms conflicts with those rights, that part does not apply and the rest of these Terms stay in force.

6. Limitation of Liability

Subject to Section 5, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • CALM Technologies Pte. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed bus rides or disruptions caused by reliance on our product.

  • The Bus Aunty device is a convenience tool. It relies on third-party arrival data and is not a guaranteed source of real-time transport accuracy.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else we cannot lawfully exclude.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, product names, and trademarks on this site, including "Bus Aunty" and "busaunty.com", are the property of CALM Technologies Pte. Ltd.

  • You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of our branding or materials without express written consent.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
